Beer Review: Hook Norton Off the Hook IPA

Name: Off the Hook IPA

Brewery: Hook Norton

ABV: 4.3%

Style: Session IPA

Location: Hook Norton, Oxfordshire

Aroma: Grassy, hoppy, plenty of mild citrus aroma with a touch of pine.

Colour: Golden with thin one finger white head

Taste: Hoppy with a profound bitter background, with hints of lemon and bitersweet orange in the background giving it an intriguing counterpoint. For a session IPA this packs a lot of flavour, although it's relative lack of strength does impact on the potential complexities of flavour. On the whole it is refreshing and flavoursome but not impressive.

Rating: 6/10
