Aroma: Bushels of honeyed malt assault the senses, followed by floral lemony notes and a gentle rolling hoppiness on the back end.

Colour: Deep gold with a two finger off-white head.

Flavour: A rousing dry bitteness followed by notes, a dash of bready malt that suggests a generous malt bill, and a bed of subtle fruitiness that offers a pleasant counterpoint. The relatively moderate strength plays to its strength giving more depth of character, while the creamy mouthfeel helps bring the flavours to fore, leaving off a gentle spicy aftertaste that doesn't dominate.

Verdict: An abundance of rich flavours makes this beer a force to be reckoned with, a generous of malt complents the fruity and mildly aromatic qualities of the hops which dovetail together into creating a glorious concoction. A robust beer that doesn't suffer fools, far from sessionable and keen to make an impression with every sip. A classic English style Golden Ale ideal to celebrate the harvest.
